I really enjoyed and appreciated Brother Andereggs thoughts today at church. I have also been thinking a lot lately about the WHY? of the financial crisis. Is it a blessing to make us think more about what we set our hearts upon and the law of consecration? Why did the early saints live it and then not? Was it to hard to live in such a way? I know money is necessary and I appreciated in Conference when they talked about getting back to the simple essentials or needs. Going through some hard times we have been blessed so tremendously by the simple but beautiful attribute of sharing/ service from so many. Lately I've wondered, is this one aspect of becoming "one". I am so grateful for the service given by so many, and I feel an obligation to give of what I have, even if it may be small or simple. I hope I can live in such a way that no "thing" is ever too important that I can't share or give it.

Thank you for your thoughts on that. I really enjoyed his testimony too. I know for me this whole crisis thing has brought me to many more thoughts about unity and need to help each other. Maybe we can pull off a walk one of these mornings. I can bundle up the babies, just need to be home by 10ish.
