Weekend of Love

I will be posting this weekend, for now stay tuned..........It consisted of Whitney Lins return, homecoming, Blessing little Soren and a Valentines Family Night.

Quick H Tip

A snack that my kids love is Mana bread. You can find it at a health food store in the freezer section, or you can attempt to make it, if you love to sprout wheat. It is a sprouted loaf which tastes like a moist muffin, but so better for them. They especially love the date cinnamon flavor Yummmmmmmm!

*To make it yourself, I just typed in Mana Sprouted bread online and I found a recipe. It only consists of sprouted wheat, oats, cinnamon, dates and I added some frontier non-alcohol vanilla and coconut flavor.

Yoga Mama's and Such

This is a new type of Yoga I have been studying and I am in loooooooooooove with it. It is truly amazing. The breathe techniques are so intense and cleansing and after a workout you feel so much more open and alive! It also treats the body with such TLC, of which we mothers need with our hectic days............no need to be beating ourselves up, we get enough of that from the little ones. I highly recommend trying Ana Brit DVD series( I think there is 8 of them, and you can purchase them from Amazon for fairly cheap).  There is some meditations of which you may or may not prefer, I like to do my own, but in most workouts you can customize them.  Waking up and being able to exercises in a healing way, all while my baby plays beside me is perfect. You will love it.

Neverland

Today we are going to put up our art deco stars we glittered up this morning when the Bear gets home from school.  On Saturday , our Family worked real hard together to make the basement somewhat of an orderly space. CharLee and I turned the North corner into an imaginary play world. . . .no movies, no computers. . . just toys, books,  and pure make believe. Our little stars should add the perfect touch in making the ceiling come to life.  I always had my little spaces growing up where I could imagine I was anything, and with the winter and it being hard to play out in the cold, this will be the perfect place for the kids to run away into their Neverlands. Yes, the surroundings are just cement floor, wood beams and boxes,  but to see what we created in the end was so fun. . . .CharLee said "Mom, I'm really going to have a Clubhouse of my very own!" Life feels so peaceful and complete when you see it in your babies eyes and have a little voice say, "This,  is what your are here for. . ." I feel this is why a year ago I felt no longer connected to my career "work".   It had nothing to do that it was good or helpful to me and others. I was tremendously blessed to work beside my loving husband and still do occasionally; I was however sacrificing my time and energy that could be fed to these types of learning teaching moments with my children. I tried to follow the spirit and went forward with faith that this was the right decision. I cherish these little simple treasures. I feel Peace.

Natural Immune Booster for your Kids

Colostrom:

This we use in our home as a natural antibiotic. Growing up myself and now with my own children, we don't have to go see a doctor because of this and some other things we do when we get ill. Whenever they start to come down with something, I take them off all sugar(because it stunts the white blood cells from fighting off bugs) and dairy( they don't really eat any dairy though), make them a big bowl of veggie (lots of onion and garlic) pureed soup, drink pH water with greens and give them this every couple hours, a good multivitamin/vitamin C and some colloidal sliver(can also be used as a natural immune booster). It is an organic bovine source of Colostrom. It makes sense when you think about what our Colostrom does for our babies:) Something else that is good, is to put your child in a Epson Salt (draws out sickness through the skin/third kidney) bath and cut up some fresh cucumbers to soothe their skin.  Then use coconut oil to moisturize and give them a little baby massage.
*You can find the Colostrom and Salts at Good Earth or Whole Foods in the supplements*

Healing Soup:

-Saute in a good oil, 1/2 onion and 4 cloves of minced garlic for approx 4 min on med or until onions are clear
-Add 8 cups of high Ph water or Pacific Veggie broth (or your own home made veggie broth)

-Add desired veggies ie: celery, cabbage, spinach, carrots, green beans, kale anything that is dark green is going to have the best cleansing effects

-Then warm on Lo/Med for about 20-30 minutes( you never want to cook the veggies to death or they loose a lot of their benefits)

-Then add 2-4 tbsp. of good oils and real salt to desired taste (add this when the soup is not hot because you don't want to change the properties of good oils like Udo's or Hemp etc.)

-Then take desired amount (and a few spoonfuls of raw avocado) you need to feed your youngster and blend in blender or Vitamix until smooth.

*Your child may not like this at first but if you help them understand what it is doing for their little body they will start to grasp on to it. Then when they are healthy and they are going for sweets all the time you can say "okay, then when you feel sick because of your food choices come to Mama and I'll help you become well with Heavenly Fathers Healing Foods":)Or whatever you feel inspired to say as their Mother:)

Get Healthy Tip

So due to all the questions, here is the first healthy tip idea of the week:

Instead of iodized salt use the better source not striped and processed

Real Salt

Using this type of salt is great for the body and gives so many vital minerals.

Instead of using butter use other better "good oil" sources to build your red blood cells, feed your brain, protect your skin and help aid digestion and even melt fat away:

Omega 3. 6 . 9 Udo's Choice (always use raw to recieve best benefits (found in fridge section of Good Earth or health store)
Coconut Oil (we use in on our flat bread like toast use in soups and sauces (antibacterial) great to also use on skin ie:excema
Grape Seed Oil: Use on salads with a little lime and real salt; perfect oil to cook with more of a light oil.
Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, Hemp seiled Oil and many other great oils that aid the body in different ways

Yummy Eclectic Moments

Yummy snacks kids? CharLee looks thrilled.
CharLee still aspires to be a Chef, look at the presentation on this dish he made. (Oranges celery and almond butter.)
We spend many of our weekend evenings with a good flick and popcorn.

Fearless with the pups. She is the Alpha Animal.
Beau counts, 1-2 WEEEE! It was a fun brisk day at the baby park.

A tender moment (not captured very well), but still oh' so sweet! Sleeping Beauty is Beaus latest craze. CharLee endures the feisty princess.
Wide mouth Bass contest. Who do you think wins? And where did they get the genes?
